Proudly Crafted by Jersey Cider Works

Fresh-pressed apples. Not from concentrate.

Instead of using apple concentrate from the other side of the planet the way some "ciders" do, Ironbound Hard Cider is made from 100% fresh-pressed apples. Fruit from New Jersey and nearby states gives our cider its bold, fresh taste while also supporting a network of local family farms. Back in the day, New Jersey was famous for its cider. Even George Washington knew it as the “champagne of ciders.” To learn more about our mission to restore Jersey cider to its former glory, please take a look at our article in The New York Times.

Working with nature. Not against it.

Today, some farmers still think it’s perfectly okay to grow apples by dumping a ton of pesticides and other chemicals on their orchards. This leads to dead soil, polluted water, and unhealthy trees. That’s why we’re messing around with “regenerative agriculture” at our orchards in the New Jersey Highlands. We’re working with nature to regenerate the soil, the trees, and the entire farm ecosystem. To learn more about our farm and our crew, check out our sister company New Ark Farms.
